“Steak” out a seat to help Tulsa kids Lunch fundraiser for local Rotary Club programs

Buying a steak lunch can do more than curb hunger. Thanks to a partnership by the Tulsa Midtown Rotary Club and Outback Steakhouse, that meal can also help several programs aimed at promoting literacy and leadership for school children in Tulsa.

On Saturday, August 20, the Outback Steakhouse at 4723 S. Yale Ave. will host the Helping Tulsa Kids- Literacy and Leadership lunch. Seating is limited, and every dollar raised will go towards the following:

* Providing scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors in Tulsa.
* Purchasing and delivering dictionaries to more than 2,000 Tulsa 3rd graders.
* Providing school uniforms for students in need at a local school.
* Sending local students to Rotary Youth Leadership training.
* Assisting exchange students going overseas with Rotary Youth Exchange
Programs.
* Hosting exchange students in Tulsa through Rotary Youth Exchange Programs.
* Helping Rotary International’s project to immunize children and stamp out Polio
worldwide and locally through “Be Wise Immunize”.

We appreciate your help in promoting this important community event. Rotary members are available for interviews, along with an Outback Steakhouse chef to demonstrate how to cook the perfect steak!
